Are you GDPR ready?

With this question, ESOMAR confronted the workshop participants at the Research & Results 2018. According to a survey by Bitkom among 502 companies with more than 20 employees in Germany, only 24% stated that they had already fully implemented the DSGVO, with a further 5% not yet having started.

Jan Willem Knibbe from ESOMAR Amsterdam and Christoph Welter (Point Blank) and Dirk Frank (ISM), the two ESOMAR representatives for Germany, explained specific data protection requirements for market research, tested the participants’ knowledge with a quiz and presented the offer from ESOMAR in the area of privacy for corporate members: ESOMAR PLUS.

In addition, Jan Willem Knibbe reported first-hand on the numerous political activities of the association to come to a meaningful implementation of the new rules for market research practice with the respective EU bodies in Brussels.
